Involving construction of new modular water pumping stations (WPS) at Ballinrees WTW, Coleraine and Moys SR, Limavady, and ancillary infrastructure for transfer of water from Ballinrees WTW and/or Caugh Hill WTW to the Carmoney WTW demand zone.

The modular and offsite construction technique used for the 2no. WPS’ was the first time this method had been delivered for such facilities on an NI Water project.

Alongside each WPS, new Surge and MCC equipment were provided.  Works elsewhere on the network involved a new RC break pressure tank and pipework on Windyhill Road, Coleraine. A new Chlorine Dosing facility was provided at Avish SR, near Eglinton.  TDN Links and SCADA system upgrades were undertaken to provide a fully automated system enabling diversion of flows from various sources as dictated by demand.
