The Ballydougan to Newry Phase B scheme was the final stage of the project to bring water from Ballydougan Reservoir to serve the greater Newry area.

Construction work included laying approx. 6km of Trunk main, ranging between 400mm and 600mm Diameter, installed in separate locations on the Eastern and Western sides of Newry City – through urban locations and agricultural land and with connections made into 3no. existing Service Reservoirs.
Further works involved the upgrade of Cullyhanna WPS and Carnbane WPS, Newry along with installation of a new Chlorine Dosing facility at Camlough WTW, Newry.
