A new 4.2ml/d reservoir was constructed on the site of an existing small reservoir at Forthill Road in Newry.
Speak to Our TeamThis tank was constructed with 3no. cells (each @ 1.4Ml/d) to suit the site layout and phasing works required to allow the existing SR to stay in service until the first new SR cell was completed and commissioned. The new structure was formed using Insitu reinforced concrete.
The initial phase of work involved construction of a new 1.4ML/day cell adjacent to the existing small (0.4Ml/d) SR. Once the new cell was completed and commissioned, the existing SR was demolished to allow the remainder of the new tank to be completed.
A new Chlorine dosing & Control building was also constructed on this site.
