A Flagship Project delivered in a complex urban environment.
Speak to Our TeamKey elements included a new 1500m3 storm retention tank, wet well pumping station, and inlet chamber, 400m of large diameter tank sewer installed by trenchless methods with associated launch and reception chambers. MEICA elements included a new MCC Panel and Kiosk, installation of 37Kw foul pumps, 9Kw hydro ejectors and screens.
Secant piling provided temporary works support to allow safe excavation. The excavation was 21m in diameter, and 10m deep with 140 large diameter secant piles installed to a depth of 18m. Six sections of open cut sewers were installed to a depth of 5m. The complete scheme provided substantial wastewater storage and allowed the closure of five combined sewer overflows minimising the risk to the environment.
