Key elements included trenchless micro-tunnelling under the Belfast-Derry railway line for a 600mm sewer, abandonment of the existing CSO, installation and upgrade of combined sewer infrastructure, and installation of a new control kiosk.
Micro-tunnelling was selected due to railway constraints, with settlement risks managed through precision alignment and continuous monitoring. The project included telemetry, testing, commissioning and reinstatement works. Effective collaboration with stakeholders ensured timely handover and compliance with client operational requirements.
