It improves water quality within the shared waters of Carlingford Lough and Lough Foyle and provides enhanced wastewater treatment for an additional 10,000 people.
This multi-site contract included the conversion of existing wastewater works to a wastewater pumping station and storm storage tank Carrigans (Co. Donegal) and the installation of 160mm HPPE rising main 3300m long from Carrigans to St. Johnston WwTP. The efficient rising main installation via trenchless technology significantly reduced the impact on road users and residents.
