Works to Lough Island Reavy included the construction of a new spillway and upgrades to the outlet culvert.

Refurbishment work was carried out to reinforce the embankments along with the installation of new toe drainage.
The works were carried out in an Area of Special Scientific Interest and involved the rerouting of a busy pedestrian walkway during construction. Extensive consultation during the design and construction phases, with a range of regulatory bodies, the local community, local sports and angling clubs helped ensure efficient and safe delivery of this key project.
