This scheme involved the refurbishment and upgrade of an existing earth dam embankment and spillway facility at Camlough Lake, Co. Armagh.

Main elements of the scheme included construction of a new Draw-Off Tower within the lake, installation of permanent sheet piles within the puddle clay core of the dam and subsequent grouting between the base of the sheet piles and rock head.
A new reinforced concrete overflow weir, spillway and stilling basin were also constructed. Granite Stone pitching was placed on the lake-side revetment. A new wave wall formed along the crest and the size profile of the dam was increased by adding further aggregate fill material to the downstream side and associated new drainage installations.
