This contract involved the design & construction of the land based elements of work for the rationalisation of the greater Whitehead catchment.

- Pumping Stations at Whitehead, Ballycarry and Ballystrudder – including New WWPS and Storm Tanks, Inlet screen facilities, access road, Odour Control, welfare, MCC and standby generator.
- Placement of 2,150m of 315mm pumping main from Whitehead
- Placement of 1,340m of combined sewer, diameter 300mm & 375mm, from Ballystrudder Village into the new Ballystrudder WwPS
- Placement of 1,735m of 400mm pumping main from new Ballystrudder PS, discharging into the start of Long Sea Outfall.
In common with the majority of pipe – lines on the scheme it was predominantly placed using trenchless techniques, significantly reducing disruption to the public.
