Toome Road

The contract in Ballymena, County Antrim, included the construction of combined sewer network upgrades, two new screened overflow chambers, a new 850 m3 reinforced concrete storm retention tank with a pumped return to the sewer network, new storm retention tank siteworks, new control kiosk and controls for the retention tank, new duty/standby return pumps, ejector cleaning pumps, new control system, realignment of the sheet piled flood wall to facilitate the new site, lowering of ground levels in the existing pitch area (to provide compensatory storage), a new storm drainage pipe at Toome Road with a new outfall to the river and all associated civil and MEICA works.
