Sewerage Networks

BSG have completed the Design and Build Construction and Build only of numerous sewerage Networks including gravity and rising mains.

We have also carried out a large number of minor works, improvements to existing sewerage including lining of existing sewers, CCTV and de silting works. We have completed schemes from £1500.00 to over £3,000,000.00.

Whitehead Rationalisation

Value: £3.35m

The Whitehead, Ballycarry & Ballystrudder Rationalisation scheme represented one of the most complex infrastructure upgrade projects undertaken for NI Water in recent years. The proposal was to develop a wastewater treatment scheme which combined the catchments of Whitehead, Ballycarry and Ballystrudder. Flows from the catchments are collected at Ballystrudder where they are screened and subsequently pumped to a proposed long sea outfall at Cloughfin Bay. This contract, delivered under NEC Option A, was the design & construction of the land based elements of work.

Montgomery Road

Value: £1.37m

Montgomery Sewerage improvement scheme includes sewerage upgrade works as required to enhance the sewerage networks and reduce flood risk within the Montgomery Road, Ladas Drive and Alanbrooke Road area of East Belfast. The works comprise of;

  • New sewer from Montgomery Road towards Ladas Drive along Loop River
  • New Sewer along Alanbrooke Road and into Thales factory
  • Sewer along Montgomery Road to the Robinson Centre
  • New weir and hydrobrake to the rear of Castlereagh College
  • The flow will continue from the CSO via existing pipes, which are to be relined, discharging to the Loop River on the Northern Side of Ladas Drive.

Foyle Road

Value: £2m

The following elements of work to prevent the out of sewer flooding and unscreened flows to the River Foyle. Abandon of a number of existing CSO on the Lone Moor Road and the construction of a new screened CSO. The abandon of Letterkenny Road SPS/CSO and Coshowen CSO. To provide transfer flow pipework from Letterkenny Rd SPS catchment to proposed Coshowen SPS. The construction of new Storm and Foul SPS at Coshowen with overflow pipe work to the River Foyle, as required by NIEA.
