Antrim EIS

Value: £1.5m

The Antrim Environmental Improvement Scheme for Antrim Borough Council was delivered under NEC option A. The work included the replacement of over 6000m2 of existing pavement with granite paving, complimented with the provision of granite kerbing, granite set paving and drainage. The contract also included the replacement of over 575m of water main before pavement work started. Extensive street furniture including bins, railing, bollards and seats were installed and the contract facilitated the placement of new street lighting.​

Ebrington UCP

Value: £5.6m

This contract was the Construction of an underground carpark to serve the Ebrington area regeneration. The works included extensive site finishes including stone cladding to match the adjacent and historic Star Fort Wall, a green roof of open area in excess of 3000m2, a grassed earth retaining embankment to facilitate the provision of the Sustrans Route. Street furniture including bins, railing, bollards and seats were installed. Key aspects of the contract included working in the vicinity of historic buildings, the requirement of Scheduled Monument consents

Connswater

Value: £4.5m

BSG completed Phase 1 of the works in the summer of 2014 concentrating on the Orangefield and Victoria Parks. This involved the alignment of Knock River from the edge to the heart of the park to protect against flooding and make the river a feature of the park.
More native trees and wildflower planting, Pond dipping and wetland areas enhanced bio diversity improvements with flood bunds incorporated to alleviate flooding, all while ensuring continued access for the general public with Zero Environmental Incidents.
