Connswater Greenway

This involved the alignment of Knock River from the edge to the heart of the park to protect against flooding and make the river a feature of the park. native trees and wildflower planting, Pond dipping and wetland areas enhanced bio diversity improvements with flood bunds incorporated to alleviate flooding, all while ensuring continued access for the general public with Zero Environmental Incidents.

Three new structural steel pedestrian and cycle bridges, over 600m of river realignment works including excavation/provision of a 3 stage river channel and associated riffles, meanders, river bank stabilisation, backwater, scrapes and other river enhancements, over 600m of landscaped flood embankment, concrete pedestrian/cycle path, Parkland furniture, signage and associated works.
